1. This Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principals
     (a) Sophrosyne is committed to providing quality products to you and this policy ("Policy") outlines our                       ongoing obligations in respect of how we manage your personal information, including how we collect,                 use, and share such information when you visit or make a purchase from our Website                                               www.sophrosynewellness.com.au ("Website")

     (b) We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs") contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)                       ("Privacy Act"). The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of               your Personal Information.      (c) By using or accessing the Website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with             this Policy.      (a) The Privacy Act currently defines "personal information" as information or an opinion about an identified             individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable:

    (a) We customarily disclose personal information only to our service providers who assist us in operating the              Website.

         (i)  To maintenance and support personnel acting in the normal course of their duties;

     By using our Website, you consent to the receipt of direct marketing material. We will only use your Personal        Information for this purpose if we have collected such information direct from you, and if it is material of a            type which you would reasonably expect to receive from us. We do not use sensitive personal information in        direct marketing activity. Our direct marketing material will include a simple means by which you can request        not to receive further communications of this nature.     (a) Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an          individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or                  philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record, or health              information.

    (b) We will not collect sensitive information about you.

7. Security of Personal Information and Retention

    (a) The security of your Personal Information is important to us. Your Personal Information will be stored in a              manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or                disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100%          secure and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

    (b) When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will                take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of              the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years,          unless you ask us to delete the information.

    (a) Your Personal Information will not be disclosed to recipients outside Australia unless you expressly request          us to do so. 

    (b) If you request us to transfer your personal information to an overseas recipient, the overseas recipient will            not be required to comply with the APPs and we will not be liable for any mishandling of your information            in such circumstances.

 

9. Access to your Personal Information and Correction

    (a) You may access the Personal Information we hold about you, and also update and/or correct it, subject to            certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing as set out              below.

    (b) We will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a                copy of your Personal Information.

    (c) Please note in order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before                releasing the requested information.
